The Quality Assurance Section of the Technical Services Branch.

• The Quality Assurance staff conducts field performance audits of air monitoring equipment located across the state. This includes air monitors operated by industry, state inspectors, and the Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District.
• The Quality Assurance staff conducts the classroom segment of the visible emission evaluation course, also called "smoke school certification."
• The Quality Assurance field staff performs quality control checks of all air monitoring data.
• The Quality Assurance staff writes standard operating procedures for the operation of the air monitors and for handling the collected data.
